Brother & Sister Forever

Brother & Sister Forever

As Alice went into the house, she saw her older brother playing games on the computer.

“Hi, Time!” said Alice while she puts her bag that is full of presents in her room.

“Can you bring me a glass of water?” asked Tim without any movement (still looking at the computer screen).

“Sure, anyway my friends are coming soon. You better get changed right now.” Alice suggested.

“Ding Dong!” When Alice heard the doorbell, she raced to the door.

“Hello, Alice~ Happy birthday!” exclaimed Alice’s friends.

“Thank you so much! Come on in.” added the birthday girl.

When most of girls had gone home, Alice and her best friend, Ketty were sitting on the floor in silence.

“I wish I had a brother like yours. My brother doesn’t even care about me. He is so ignorant. Don’t you think he should be grown up by now? expressed Alice before she realized that her brother can hear her from where he is.

“But he is still your brother, he loves you. Anyway I have to go now, it’s getting dark. Bye~” said Ketty.

“See you.” uttered Alice.

As the door closed Alice’s brother came out from his room.

“I wish I had a sister like Ketty too! She is a whole lot better than you!!!” Tim shouted.

“I always tried to be the best sister for you but you?, you don’t even try to be nice to me or look at my eyes and talk!” Alice yelled.

Suddenly Alice ran away to the park with tears falling down from her eyes. Alice sat on the swing and thought about the old times when she and her brother played happily together.

‘Be not angry that you cannot make others as you wish them to be, since you cannot make yourself as you wish to be.’ Alice thought what her dad said to her when he was dying.

She got up from the swing to apologize to Tim. This was not the only time that Alice and Tim argued. It was always Alice who had to apologize.

Suddenly! She saw someone coming to her. It was Tim!

“I’m sorry, I’ve always been a terrible brother to you, Please forgive me.” Tim made an apology.

“Of course I can, I’m sorry too. I will be a better sister to you from now. Come on brother. Let’s go home. It’s cold outside.” Alice suggested as she held her brother’s hand.

“Thank you, Alice. Happy Birthday.” The young grown up man with a small smile handed an enormous Teddy Bear to her.

“You always wanted to have a huge teddy bear when you were younger.” said Tim.

“Thank you……” murmured Alice with a shaky voice.
